Ignacio Bahamondes - Muslim Salikhov: betting tip (cf 2.13) and bets on the fight

Ignacio Bahamondes is approaching his debut in the welterweight division after two consecutive defeats in the lightweight division. In March, the Peruvian had a spectacular duel with Tofik Musaev, but after three rounds the judges gave victory to his opponent. Despite the result, the fight turned out to be so intense that Bahamondes received a bonus for the Fight of the evening. Before that, he lost to Rafael Fiziev, who managed to prove himself better in key episodes. Before the black streak, the Peruvian managed to collect a series of three victories. The early successes over Jalen Turner, Manuel Torres and Christos Giagos were especially impressive. In these fights, Bahamondes demonstrated almost his entire attacking arsenal: from chokeholds to knockouts with punches and kicks.

Now Ignacio has another important trump card — his size. His advantage in arm span over Salikhov is about 13 cm. For a fighter who likes to control the distance and methodically shoot an opponent in a stance, this is a very serious factor. In addition, the transition to welterweight will allow Bahamondes to avoid a grueling race to the limit of the lightweight division. The 29-year-old Peruvian has 18 wins to his credit — 11 by knockout, five by judges' decisions and two by submission — with six defeats.

Current form

Muslim Salikhov's picture is noticeably less optimistic. In November 2025, the Russian spent only about a minute in the octagon before suffering an early defeat from Uros Medich. The return scheduled for May against Jake Matthews did not take place: Salikhov withdrew from the fight. At the same time, it would be too hasty to write off a veteran. Before losing to Medich, he had won three fights in a row. In that episode, Carlos Leal's knockout at the 42nd second looked particularly vivid, and even earlier, Salikhov effectively dealt with Kenan Son, knocking him out with a roundhouse kick.

It was such episodes that made the King of Kung Fu one of the most recognizable fighters of the division. Salikhov is capable of hitting his opponent with an unexpected blow at any moment and turning the tide of the battle. But against Bahamondes, he will have to solve a problem of increased complexity. The Russian is already 42 years old, and his opponent is 13 years younger, noticeably taller and has a significant advantage in arm swing. For the first time, Bahamondes will enter the octagon in the welterweight division, having a height of 190 cm, so physical conditions can also play in his favor. Salikhov has 22 wins — 15 by knockout, five by decision and two by submission — with six defeats.
