Command Analysis

Randy Brown

Current form

Randy Brown arrives in Las Vegas with two defeats in a row. In April, he lost to Kevin Holland by unanimous decision. The fight turned out to be difficult not only from the point of view of tactics: Holland, as is often the case with him, did not stop talking to his opponent all three rounds. Prior to that, the Jamaican had experienced a much more difficult evening — Gabriel Bonfim knocked him out with a knee in the second round. However, before these failures, Brown had a bright victory: in 2025, he knocked out Nicholas Dalby in the second round.

Brown has been performing professionally since 2014. He took his first steps in Ring of Combat, where he quickly turned into a real machine of early victories. In six fights in this organization, the Jamaican finished meetings six times before the final gong, and won the welterweight championship belt by stopping Mike Winters with a technical knockout in the second round. Brown later attracted the attention of Dana White by knocking out Robert Plotkin at the Ring of Combat tournament.

He made his UFC debut in 2016 at UFC on Fox 18. Brown defeated Matt Dwyer by unanimous decision and began a long journey in the elite promotion. He has more than just striking equipment in his arsenal: the Jamaican trains at the Budokan Academy, affiliated with Renzo Gracie's Brazilian jiu-jitsu school. However, at the Rise Invitational tournament in April 2023, his grappling performance ended in defeat to Rene Souza, who caught his opponent with a combination of a triangle and an elbow lever. Brown is 36 years old. He has 20 wins to his credit, including eight by knockout, five by submission and seven by decision, as well as eight defeats.

Jacobe Smith

Current form

Jacob Smith still looks like a man who the UFC forgot to tell that it's generally accepted to lose here. His professional record is 13 wins with zero losses, and all four fights in the main promotion ended ahead of schedule. In his last performance, he confidently dealt with Bruce Whitehead. Earlier, Smith dealt with Josiah Harrell, who came from LFA. Of course, the level of these rivals leaves room for questions, but Smith himself has not yet given reason to doubt his own ambitions.

The American began his professional career in 2021. Before joining the UFC, he played in the XFL and Fury FC. He also holds the titles of JCAA wrestling Champion and JCAA All-American champion in the West-Central region of the USA. This is an important detail.: Smith is not just an aggressive striker who expects to solve everything with one hit. He knows how to fight and is able to transfer a duel to where his physical qualities become especially dangerous.

In 2026, many promising fighters faced a reality that turned out to be much less welcoming than expected. Smith probably doesn't want to add to that list. His wrestling skills were particularly noticeable in his last fight, and Daniel Cormier, who commented on the meeting, separately noted that the American trains in his team and has a serious base in wrestling. But there is a nuance here. Dominating rivals who can't offer decent resistance is one thing. It's quite another thing to face an experienced fighter who knows how to use distance, change the rhythm and punish mistakes. Brown is able to test Smith's strength.

Tip and bets

TipSmith's early victory
2.20

The main intrigue here is simple: will Brown be able to keep Smith at bay? The Jamaican has an advantage in anthropometry, which means he can try to meet his opponent with long punches without allowing him to close the distance. Brown's experience tells him when to attack, when to retreat, and how not to get involved in unnecessary exchanges. But competent tactics alone are not enough if the opponent constantly imposes a fight. Smith will try to quickly occupy the center of the octagon, shorten the distance and bring the fight to the floor. Brown's age and two recent defeats make this scenario particularly troubling for the Jamaican. At the same time, it's too early to write off the veteran: he is experienced enough to survive the initial onslaught and find opportunities for counterattacks. The fight doesn't necessarily end in the first round. Brown knows all too well how to survive in difficult situations, and Smith has yet to prove that he is able to remain effective against a truly dangerous opponent. Nevertheless, the young American's advantage in wrestling and dynamics may take its toll over time.

Our betting tip is an early victory for Smith at 2.20
