Fares Ziam - Axel Sola: betting tip (cf 2.15) and bets on the fight

Fares Ziam has been moving up the career ladder very confidently for a long time. The Frenchman managed to put together an impressive streak of six wins in a row, but in June 2026, his victory march was stopped by Tom Nolan. After three rounds, the judges favored the Australian, and Ziam had to accept defeat by decision. At the same time, it's definitely not worth writing off Fares after one unsuccessful performance. Before meeting Nolan, he looked very convincing. First, the Frenchman stopped Nazim Sadikhov in the second round, striking his opponent with a series of blows with elbows and hands. Then Ziam went the full distance with Mike Davis and took the victory by unanimous decision. And even earlier, he effectively dealt with Matt Frevola, knocking the American out with a knee in the third round.

In the duel with Nolan, the Frenchman clearly lacked the usual dynamics. A bigger opponent managed to impose hard work on him at the net and in the stalls. Ziam periodically found himself in uncomfortable positions and could not quickly return to the stand. His choice of tactics at the end of the fight was particularly controversial. In the third round, Fares needed to be active and, in fact, finish early, but he tried to transfer Nolan to the stalls. Such a move did not bring the desired result and only took up precious time.

However, Ziam has enough arguments in his favor. He has serious experience, feels the distance well and is able to attack dangerously with both hands and feet. The Frenchman previously became the champion of the HIT Fighting Championship and Lyon Fighting Championship, and his professional record now stands at 18 wins and five losses. He ended fights by knockout seven times, scored seven more wins on points, and forced opponents to give up four times. Separately, it is worth noting the experience of Ziam in kickboxing. In 2015, he became the champion of the International Sport Kickboxing Association.

Current form

Axel Sola approaches the French derby in a good mood. Two months ago, he had a great fight against Ismail Bonfim and ended it in the first round. The Frenchman forced his opponent to surrender thanks to Brabo's choke hold. And before that, he lost to Mason Jones in March. Sola had an extremely competitive match, which could well be called one of the most spectacular fights of that period. All three rounds were held at a high pace, but the judges eventually unanimously gave Jones the victory.

Before that, Sola had already made a name for himself in French MMA. In 2023, he became Ares FC champion, after which he successfully defended the title three times. Such results almost immediately attracted the attention of the UFC, and the Frenchman got the opportunity to test himself at the highest level. His debut in the organization took place a year ago, and it was during the previous UFC tournament in Paris. Sola took advantage of the home crowd and stopped Rhys McKee with a technical knockout in the third round.

The 28-year-old Frenchman currently has 20 wins and four losses. He won six victories by knockout, took away the judges' decisions eight times and completed six more fights by submission.  It will be especially interesting to see his work in the clinch and stalls. Axel is well able to control his opponent at the net, does not get lost in close contact and is able to maintain an advantageous position on the ground for a long time. This is a potentially unpleasant scenario for Ziam.
