Command Analysis

Aaron Pico

Current form

Aaron Pico came to the UFC with a reputation as a fighter who should have been among the strongest long ago. He was once considered one of the most promising talents in American martial arts. However, big-time sports are designed without sentiment: advances are not automatically converted into wins here. Pico's debut was painful. Leron Murphy knocked out the American with a spectacular roundhouse elbow, reminding that even outstanding training does not insure against trouble in the octagon. However, Pico knows how to come back after failures. In the next match, he defeated Patricio Pitbull Freire, an experienced Bellator veteran, whom almost all representatives of the featherweight division feared at the time.

Pico is 30 years old, and his professional record includes 14 wins and five losses. There is an impressive wrestling foundation behind these figures. The American started wrestling at the age of four, and subsequently achieved serious success at the youth level. In 2013, he became the world champion in freestyle wrestling among athletes under 17 years old, and three years later he was listed as a reserve member of the US Olympic team.

However, Pico was never limited to one discipline. He competed in boxing and pankration, won national competitions and mastered Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In MMA, such a set of skills can turn a fighter into a real headache for rivals.

Losene Keita

Current form

Losene Keita made a very convincing statement about himself in September. The Belgian knocked out Muhammad Naimov in the first round, and then celebrated the victory so emotionally that the audience got an additional idea of the fighter's character. It was an important success for Keith: after losing to Nathaniel Wood by split decision, he finally opened the account of victories in the UFC.

At the same time, it would be a mistake to consider the Belgian a beginner who has yet to get used to a high level. Before joining the strongest league in the world, Keita managed to become the OKTAGON champion in two weight categories at once. And this is a promotion in which achievements cannot be written off. There are enough serious rivals there, and titles are not just given away. The 30-year-old Keith has 17 wins, 11 of which ended in knockouts, and two defeats.

Tip and bets

TipKeith's victory
2.09

Pico has an important advantage — fighting. If the American manages to move his opponent to the stalls, impose control and prevent him from rising quickly, the course of the match may be in his favor. But theory, as you know, does not always stand up to a meeting with practice. Keita has good physical attributes and an explosive fighting style, so it won't be easy to keep him on the floor. In the rack, the Belgian's advantage looks even more noticeable. Keita is dangerous with his sharpness and is able to punish his opponent for the slightest mistake. But there are still questions about Pico's defense. There have been early defeats in his career, and in both cases the American missed heavy blows and did not have time to rebuild in time. One of the other defeats was due to a shoulder injury, so it would be unfair to evaluate all failures equally. But Pico's vulnerability under serious pressure still deserves attention. The American's wrestling class can complicate Keith's task. However, the Belgian has already shown that he has enough power to finish fights ahead of schedule, and his striking technique can be a decisive factor. If Pico fails to tie down his opponent for a long time, the advantage in the rack is quite capable of tipping the scales in favor of Keith.

Our prediction is that Keith will win in 2.09
