Ryosuke Nishida - Sam Goodman: betting tip (cf 1.82) and bets on the fight

Current form

Ryosuke Nishida last entered the ring in February and defeated Brian Mercado Vasquez by technical decision after seven rounds. The fight had to be stopped due to a cut that the Japanese received after a clash of heads. By this point, the situation on the judges' notes was quite clear: all three gave Nishida a 69:64 advantage. The Japanese won the IBF bantamweight championship belt in May 2024, when he passed Emmanuel Rodriguez by unanimous decision. He defended his first defense confidently, stopping Anuchai Donsua in the seventh round. However, this was followed by a defeat by Junto Nakatani. The IBF and WBC unification bout ended after six rounds due to severe swelling above Nishida's right eye.

The 30-year-old southpaw has 11 wins and one loss, with only two of his fights ending ahead of schedule. The knockout ratio is low, with only 18.2% of wins. The Japanese scored his first finish in his debut fight in 2019, knocking out Sakol Ketkul in the first round. The second early success came in the title defense against Donsua. A native of Kashiba from Nara Prefecture, he managed to collect a solid collection of victories. His track record includes victories over former Japanese champion Shohei Omori and former WBC light heavyweight champion Daigo Higa. In 2023, the Japanese also defeated Christian Medina, who now holds the WBO bantamweight belt, by unanimous decision.

It was his victory over Higa in 2021 that earned Nishida the WBO Asia Pacific title. After that, he successfully defended the belt in fights with Tetsuro Ohashi, Aljuma Pelecio and Songsaeng Pyaem. The fights against Pelesio and Pyoyama looked especially convincing — Nishida took all the rounds according to the notes of each judge. The height of the Japanese is 170 cm, the arm span is 173 cm. In both anthropometric indicators, he has a slight advantage over his opponent.

Current form

Sam Goodman fought his last fight in April and went through 12 rounds with Rodrigo Fabian Ruiz without any problems, winning by unanimous decision. The 27-year-old Australian has 22 wins and one loss, with eight wins by knockout. He has completed 181 professional rounds since 2018. At the amateur level, Goodman won the Oceania Championship and competed at the AIBA World Youth Championship. He has won the Australian National Youth and Junior championships to his credit.

Goodman's height is about 168 cm, and his arm span is 169 cm. The Australian is used to performing quite regularly. In 2023, he fought four fights at once, each time defending the IBF intercontinental champion title in the second light heavyweight division. Goodman defeated Zhong Liu, Miguel Flores and Rais Alim in 12 rounds, while T.J. Doheny went through in a ten-round showdown. In 2024, the activity decreased to two fights, and the planned meeting with Naoi Inoue was disrupted due to an injury to the Australian's eye in training.

In 2025, Goodman had three more fights, but it was then that he suffered his first and so far only defeat in his professional career. In the fight for the WBA featherweight title, he lost to Nick Ball by unanimous decision.  The Australian's situation with knockouts is also not ideal: 36.4% of his wins were premature. In 11 of the last 13 fights, he had to go the whole distance. During his career, Goodman became the IBF intercontinental champion and the owner of the WBO Oriental belt in the second lightest division.

His first really serious opponent was Doheny, whom Goodman defeated in 2023. After that, he dealt with Alim, Flores, and Liu. However, meetings with Mark Schleibs and Tatchana Luangphon did not become a big step forward for the Australian. He also has victories over Richie Mepranum and Juan Miguel Elorde. At the same time, it was Nick Ball who gave Goodman the most serious test, and the Australian was close to a positive result.
