Davey Grant seems to have made some kind of unspoken agreement with age. Forty years is a very serious figure for a professional fighter, but the Englishman continues to perform as if the calendar does not concern him at all. In the last four matches, he won three times, losing only to Charles Jourdain. Moreover, he lost ahead of schedule in the first round, having been caught on the guillotine.  But in other meetings, Grant looked convincing. He passed Adrian Luna Martinetti, and their confrontation was awarded the Fight of the Evening award, and also defeated Damon Blackshire and Ramon Taveras by unanimous decisions. He has 19 professional wins (10 by submission, four by knockout and five by decision) and eight defeats.

Current form

Elijah Smith presents a very different story. The American is only 24 years old, and in the UFC he has already managed to win three times without a single defeat. The last success came in a confrontation with Su Yong Yoo, whom Smith forced to surrender. Before that, the American effectively dealt with Toshiomi Kazama, ending the meeting with a powerful throw in the first round. He also has victories over Vince Morales and Aaron Thaw, whom he defeated at Dana White's Contender Series. Smith has a total of 14 wins and one loss. He knocked out eight opponents, defeated three more by decision of the judges, and succeeded three times thanks to techniques. In addition, the American managed to become the champion of the Colorado Combat Club.
