Three consecutive victories allowed CSKA to quickly forget about the unpleasant defeats from Spartak (0:2) and Avtomobilist (1:5). At first, the Army team confidently defeated SKA in St. Petersburg (3:1), then defeated Tractor at home (5:1). In these meetings, the Muscovites acted quite competently on the defensive, practically not allowing their opponents to create dangerous moments for long periods. At the same time, the attack has noticeably increased, and Marat Khairullin and Prokhor Poltapov regularly help the team score points. In the third period, the opponents could not distinguish themselves, so it came to extra time. The victory for the Muscovites was brought by Robert Hamilton, who scored 15 seconds before the end of overtime. The final score of 3:2 allowed the army to extend the successful streak, although this time they had to spend much more effort.
