Minnesota vs Carolina: prediction for the NHL game

Minnesota endured a rough start to the season. Currently, the Wild are outside the top-8 with only 16 points in the asset. They couldn't mount a winning streak and quite often lost more than two games in a row. For example, the team suffered defeats to San Jose (2:3 SO), Nashville (1:2), and Pittsburgh (4:6) in the last three outings. The Wild create a lot of scoring chances, but rarely convert them. Dean Evason's men lost five home games in regulation, and got two points in just one game. 

Carolina are doing better than their hosts. The Hurricanes are in 3rd place in the East with a total of 22 points. Thet delivered inconsistent results in the last games - after a high-scoring victory over Edmonton (7:2), the Canes lost to Colorado (1:4), and beat Chicago (3:0) before losing again to the Avalanche (2:3 OT). Carolina are solid on defense, but they rarely score more than three goals. Plus, a few days ago the leader of Carolina's attack Teuvo Teräväinen got a lower body injury.
