Minnesota vs Detroit: prediction for the NHL game

Minnesota are in 2nd place in the Western Conference standings with a total of 61 points. The team is already 11 points behind Colorado and probably won't top the conference, but they have a solid chance of maintaining the second position.

The Wild lost only one of their last seven games. A coupe of days ago they suffered a defeat at Winnipeg (0:2), but bounced back straight away, securing a home victory over Carolina (3:2). The Wild lost only three games at home in regulation this season and average 4-5 goals per game. 

Detroit are having a better season than last year. Currently they sit in 9th place in the Eastern Conference table with 50 points to their name. After losing to Los Angeles (3:5), the Red Wings pulled themselves together and recorded two consecutive victories over Philadelphia (6:3 and 4:2). 

However, it's been a long time since Detroit won more than two games in a row. On top of that, Blashill's side show poor result away from home: they were successful in only three away games in regulation.
