Spain vs Argentina: central match of the round

Spain national team won the first match against Japan team by 11 points margin (88:77). World champions were dominating in the first half of the game (48:28). But in the second one underdog managed to outscore a clear favourite (49:40).

Spaniards had all star veterans on the court, Ricky Rubio was the most high-scoring player with 20 points. Gasol brothers scored 21 points combined. Hosts are currently on the second spot in their group.

Argentina national team played offensively against Slovenia. It was not a successful tactics for the World Cup runners-up - they were beaten with a 100:118 score. Veteran Luis Scola scored 23 points and became the second-best scorer of the game. Though, he was beaten by brilliant Luka Doncic, who scored 48 points. 

South Americans managed to beat Europeans only in one quarter. In all others Argentina was beaten. Nominal visitors are currently at the bottom in «group of death».
