Nigeria vs Germany: start of the second round

In the first round Nigeria national team managed to hold Argentinian team to draw only in the first quarter (23:23). After that South American team started to pull away from their opponents and eventually won by 17 points (84:67).

Obi Emegano was the best player on the court for Nigerians, he scored 12 points. Nominal hosts are currently the bottom team of Group B.

Germany national team put up a disappointing performance in the first match of the Olympic tournament. They were beaten by Italy with a score of 82:92. But before the fourth quarter there were no signs of a humiliating defeat. Moreover, after the first 10 minutes Germans were ahead by 10 points.

In the closing minutes of the game the advantage of Henrik Rodl's players was melting faster than ice in the sun. Maodo Lo was the best player in Germany's line-up, he scored 24 points. Visitors are currently on the third position in the second group.
