Slovakia are in second place in the standings and have all the chances to go through to the playoffs this year. Slovakia won three games out of four, including the victory over Russia with a score of 3:1. However, they suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of Switzerland, conceding eight goals - 1: 8.

The Slovaks could not rebuff their opponents and didn't show a great game in their own zone. The defenders rarely blocked the shots, and the goalies also struggled to do their duty.
