Current form

In Pittsburgh, the picture is less rosy. Defeat, 1-3 balance, and so far only fifth place in the division. The team seems to be trying, but the whole game is not developing yet. Brett Ashcraft did his best on the mound: six innings, four hits, two missed runs, four walks and three strikeouts. A normal, working start. But he did not receive any support.

The attack is where the main pain is. Only four hits per match, eight left on the bases, and a disastrous 0 of 6 with runners in scoring position. Nick Gonzalez scored with a single and a stolen base (the first of the season), Brandon Lowe looked better than the others — 1-2 and two walks at once. Ryan O'Hern also tried — 1-2 and two walks. But this is not enough when the leaders are silent. Onil Cruz went 0-4 with two strikeouts, Brian Reynolds hit a double play, and Henry Davis fouled out three times. The relievers, by the way, did their job: Ian Mattson and Jason Lawrence did not miss, adding four strikeouts. But when it's zero on the scoreboard, it doesn't save you.
