Arsenal vs Brighton: betting tip (cf 3.10) and bets on the English Premier League match

Current form

Closer to the equator of the season, Arsenal lost their advantage in the Premier League. The Londoners are still first in the table, but the gap from the closest pursuers in the face of Manchester City and Aston Villa is two and three points, respectively. The decline in the Gunners' game most clearly reflects the defeat of direct rival Aston Villa on the road with a score of 1:2 in the 15th round. Before that, there was also a 1-1 draw with Chelsea. These matches show that Mikel Arteta's team is not doing well with top opponents right now.

Arsenal did not have the most difficult calendar in the last two rounds, but the victories over Wolverhampton (2:1) and Everton (1:0) turned out to be inconclusive, with an advantage of only one goal. There are problems in attack: three of the last four goals scored were own goals. Plus, injuries are taking their toll, even with a solid bench. Gabriel and Mosquera are especially missing, and then White is out of action again.

So far, Arsenal is playing most confidently in the Champions League, where they have not lost a single point in six rounds and are leading the standings with 18 points. Last week, the Gunners played a 1/4 League Cup final match against Crystal Palace, which had noticeably slowed down. Difficulties arose again, the game ended in a 1-1 draw, and they managed to get a ticket to the semifinals only in a penalty shootout.

Brighton, like their upcoming opponent, is far from playing the best game right now. The seagulls cannot win for four rounds in a row, alternating defeats and draws during this period. The result at the moment is that Fabian Hürzeler's team is moving away from the European Cup zone. By the start of round 18, Brighton is in ninth place, and the gap from the top five is five points.

Characteristically, even the notorious home field factor is not helping Brighton right now. They failed to win in three previous matches at their stadium, including the world ones with the far from the most formidable West Ham (1:1) and Sunderland (0:0). Fabian Hürzeler's players are still betting on attacking, no matter who they are playing with. At the same time, the opponents have clearly adapted to this style of play, to such predictability. So, Sunderland, for example, caught seagulls on the counterattack more than once, hit more shots on target and had a good chance to achieve victory.

In general, Brighton's offensive line is not impressive at the moment. In the previous three matches, he managed to score only one goal against West Ham. At the same time, the defense has not been particularly reliable since the beginning of the season: 23 missed goals.
