Command Analysis

Slovenia

Slovenia suffered a 22-25 defeat to Spain in their opening Group A match. Dejan Bombac was the best player on the losing team, scoring five goals out of six shots on goal. The Balkan team qualified for the Olympics through the 2024 qualifying tournament.
This is their fourth appearance at the Games and the first since Rio 2016, where they showed the best result in the history of the team (sixth place). The Slovenians' collection includes bronze from the 2017 World Championship, where, by the way, they beat Croatia. And silver from the 2004 European Championship.

Croatia

Croatia beat Japan 30-29 in the first match of Group A. Mario Sostaric was the best player in the winning team, scoring six of eight shots. The Balkan team qualified for the Games at the qualifying competitions held in March 2024 in Hannover, taking first place in the tournament table.
This is their sixth Olympic appearance and their first since Rio 2016, where they reached the quarterfinals. The Croatians have won two Olympic gold medals in the history of the national team (Atlanta 1996 and Athens 2004). Dagur Sigurdsson's men have won one world title (2003), as well as three silver and one bronze medals at world championships. Croatia has also reached the final of the European Championships three times, most recently in 2020.
Tip and bets
Bookmakers' analysts consider Croatia to be the favourites in the upcoming match. However, in their opinion, Slovenia will also have a good chance of success. The team from the pre-Alpine part of the Balkan Peninsula proved in the game with Spain that it is capable of competing on equal terms with strong opponents. The Slovenians were leading for most of the match, but were unable to hold on to the victory in the end. The game should be drawn out with a lot of fighting.
Our prediction is Slovenia's victory with a handicap of (+1.5) points for 1.76 at BC Winline
