Manchester City vs Aston Villa: prediction for the English Premier League match

Manchester City are currently five points behind Arsenal, plus the leaders have a game in hand over the Sky-Blues. Moreover, the City team have 100 charges of financial fair play violation, which do not sit well with the board or the team. Pep Guardiola's men lost their last game - they suffered a narrow defeat to Tottenham (0:1) in London. 

This will be Man City's 250th Premier League game at Etihad. They will definitely go for a win and try to please the fans, and the opponent is rather convenient. The City team will have to cope without Foden, Stones, and Mendy. 

Aston Villa enjoyed a good run of form, but in the last game, the suffered a home defeat to Leicester City (2:4). The Lions do not have a good record at Etihad - they won only one out of 29 games at this arena, and that was way back in 2009. 

After 21 rounds of match, Villa are in 11th place in the Premier League standings with 28 points from eight wins and four draws. They have delivered only 25 goals this season. Before a loss to Leicester, the Villans got a slender victory against Southampton (1:0). The visitors will be without Traore, Diego Carlos, and Steer.
