Chelsea vs Crystal Palace: prediction for the English Premier League match

Graham Potter has been the manager of Chelsea for several months, and he had a very good start at Stamford Bridge, but in the last eight games, Potter's men suffered six defeats. On Thursday, they yielded to the newly-promoted Fulham - former Brighton manager's future at Chelsea is in question. 

The Blues have already lost seven Premier League games this season - this is more losses, than during the entire 2021-22 campaign. With 25 points, Chelsea sit in 10th place in the table. Recently loaned Joao Felix will miss the upcoming game following his red card in the previous match. 

The home team has many injury concerns: Pulisic, Sterling, Zakaria, Mendy, Lotfus-Cheek, Kante, James, Fofana, Chilwell, and Broja have all been ruled out. 

Crystal Palace are a very comfortable opponent for the hosts. The Glaziers lost a total of 21 games to Chelsea, and 11 defeats were suffered in the last head-to-head games. Moreover, the team is in poor form: the loss to Southampton in the FA Cup was their fifth one in the last six games. 

Currently, Patrick Vieira's side is in 12th place in the standings with 22 points from six wins and four draws. On average, the Glaziers score one goal per game, but they concede much more. The team really needs some reinforcements, otherwise they might be the ones fighting for survival this season.
