Borussia Dortmund vs Freiburg: prediction for the Bundesliga match

Borussia got off to a steady start of Bundesliga season and managed put up a serious fight to Bayern for the title throughout the first half of the season. But Marco Rose's team was unable to play the whole first half of the season without any mistakes, so Bavarians managed to create a handicap. The Bumblebees are currently at the 2nd spot with 37 points in the asset, six points adrift from the leader. 

Before the previous round handicap was even bigger, but Borussia managed to get advantage out of their main competitor's mistake in the last round. The Bumblebees conceded two goals in the first half of the match against Eintracht and were not looking impressive overall, but put up a great performance at the end of the match and recorded a 3:2 victory over the Eagles, a second one for them in three most recent rounds. 

Freiburg got off to a successful start of the season, they suffered the first defeat only in the 11th round, losing to Bayern (1:2). Christian Streich's team easily secured a spot in Top-4 and they are still holding on to their position, despite all the predictions about the slump. The Griffins are currently at the 4th spot with 30 points, but they have no significant advantage over their competitors. 

A 5th-placed Bayer is only one point away, Koln and Union are only two points away, Eintracht and Leipzig are also hunting for the 4th spot. Freiburg lost their significant handicap after slip-ups in recent matches - in four most recent rounds the Griffins recorded only one victory, beating Bayer (2:1). Another mistake can lead to their drop from the Champions League zone.
