Koln vs Augsburg. Predictions and Betting Tips for Bundesliga

Koln are having a solid first half of the season, but before the start of the tournament Steffen Baumgart's team was considered one of the main relegation contenders. The Billy Goats are currently at the 9th spot in the standings with 19 points in the asset, six points ahead of Augsburg, who are at the relegation play-off spot.

Team is also nine points ahead of straight relegation zone and it is a serious handicap. In recent matches Koln gained wonderful form - they started an unbeaten run at the 11th round with a draw against Union Berlin (2:2). 

After that Billy Goats snatched a point from Mainz (1:1), beat Borussia Monchengladbach (4:1) and in the most recent match drew to Arminia (1:1), extending their unbeaten run to four matches.  

Before the start of the season Augsburg were also considered one of the main relegation contenders, but unlike their today opponents, Markus Weinzierl's team is unable to prove that statement wrong. Fuggers are approaching the 15th round at the 16th spot in the standings with 13 points, only three points ahead of the straight relegation zone. 

15th spot is only one point ahead, so Bavarians can leave the danger zone after this match. Not too long ago Augsburg made a huge sensation, beating Bayern (2:1) at home, but they failed to extend that success - in next two matches against Hertha (1:1) and Bochum (2:3) Fuggers picked up only one point and failed to find a way out of the bottom of the standings.
