Augsburg are considered one of the main underdogs of the season - Markus Weinzierl's team is currently at the 16th spot in the standings. Fuggers started it with a 0:4 defeat to Hoffenheim, but managed to record a victory in the fifth round, beating Borussia Monchengladbach (1:0).

Bayern are living up to expectations since the start of the season - Julian Nagelsmann's men are at the top of the standings after 11 rounds. In recent matches Bavarians managed to break away from their only real competitor - Borussia Dortmund is four points behind, Freiburg is six points behind.

Team managed to break away from Christian Streich's men due to a 2:1 victory over them in the head-to-head match in the previous round - The Griffins failed to put up a fight - they scored a consolation goal at the end of the match. This victory became the fourth one for the Munich team at Bundesliga. 

Thomas Muller can set a record in this match - if the midfielder will take part in today's game, he will be the first player in Bundesliga history to play 600 games in that tournament.
