Rayo Vallecano vs Barcelona. Predictions and Betting Tips for La Liga

After a miraculous return from Segunda through a victory in the playoffs capital club put up a great start in the new La Liga season. Vallecans gained momentum since their first matches and after nine rounds they have five victories and one draw, which brought them 16 points and a 7th spot in the standings. 

We should note that team has second-best offensive record in the league, they scored 17 goals. Five most recent rounds went not so well for Madrid team, they suffered two defeats, but won three games. 

After a home victory over Espanyol (2:1), in which team managed to mount a comeback thanks to Hernandez and Nteka, hosts suffered an away defeat to Betis (2:3).

Merquelanz won't play in this game due to a knee injury. 

This weekend Barcelona suffered a defeat to Real Madrid (1:2), it became team's fourth consecutive defeat in El Classico. After this failure team dropped to 9th spot in the standings. It is surely not a satisfying result for the Catalan club, but they are only three points adrift from Top-5.

The Blaugrana recorded only two victories during October - over Levante (3:0) and over Valencia (3:1). Team's offensive line is not so successful so far - they scored only 15 goals. 

Aside from that, Barca also recorded a 1:0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League, which brought the team a third spot in the standings and a chance to fight for a play-off spot.

De Jong, Fati, Pedri, Dembele, Wague, Araujo and Braithwaite won't play in the game against Rayo Vallecano.
