In the previous season Cadiz got back to La Liga after a 14-year absence and they didn't disappoint their fans. Team managed to not only retain the spot in the top-flight division, but also put up an impressive display, finishing the season at 12th spot in the standings.
During the summer break team signed a number of South American players. Club signed Rosario goalkeeper Ledesma, Santiago Arizmendia from Cerro Porteno, Tomas Alarcon from O'Higgins. They are yet to record a first victory in the new season.
Yellow-Blues had two draws against Levante (1:1) and Betis (1:1), then suffered two consecutive defeats.
