King Green - Esteban Ribovich: betting tip (cf 3.00) and bets on the fight

Command Analysis

Current form
In July, King Green, in a duel with Terrance McKinney, found himself in serious trouble at the start, suffered significant damage, but managed to survive a dangerous episode and knocked out his opponent at the very end of the first round. For Green, this victory was the fourth in a row. Before that, the veteran managed to deal with Jeremy Stevens and Daniel Zellhuber, and both times the case was also completed ahead of schedule. The only exception in the series was the fight with Lance Gibson Jr., whom Green defeated by decision of the judges. Thus, the American gradually made him forget about the unpleasant results of the previous period of his career — a heavy knockout from Mauricio Raffi and an unexpected defeat by submission in a confrontation with Paddy Pimblett.
In terms of the amount of work in the rack, Green is almost as good as his upcoming opponent. He lands an average of 6.49 significant punches per minute, which is the third highest in the lightweight division. At the same time, it is important not only to be active, but also how well an American can defend himself. Green misses only 3.63 significant shots per minute, and his defense rate reaches 63 percent, which is one of the best results in the division.
Green has been competing in professional mixed martial arts since 2008. During this time, the American managed to become the King of the Cage champion in two weight categories at once — lightweight and first welterweight. In addition, he went through well-known organizations such as Tachi Palace Fights, Strikeforce and Affliction.
The 40-year-old fighter has 36 wins: 13 by knockouts, ten by submission and 13 more by judges' decisions. At the same time, he has 17 defeats. Green has a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and came to wrestling in his school years. He started playing this sport in the tenth grade and twice won the California State Championship.

Current form
Esteban Ribovich also knows perfectly well what it means to force an opponent to leave the octagon ahead of schedule. The Argentine has already met with McKinney and arranged a much shorter evening for him in 2024 — Ribovich knocked the American out with a kick to the head in just 37 seconds. In the same year, he had an extremely spectacular duel with Daniel Zellhuber. The fight turned out to be so competitive that it could well be called a contender for the title of the Fight of the Year, and the winner was determined only by the judges' notes — Ribovich won by split decision.
However, the Argentine's recent results look less convincing. In the previous four fights, he has two wins and two losses. Ribovich beat Edson Barbosa and Elves Brener on points, but then lost to Mateusz Gamrot by submission, caught in a choke hold, and then lost to Nasrat Hakparast by decision of the judges. At the same time, the result of the last match caused a lot of controversy: according to a number of observers, the Argentine could well have counted on a different outcome.
If you look solely at the impact statistics, Ribovich looks like a real volume creation machine. He lands 7.43 significant punches per minute, the second best result among UFC lightweights, second only to Terrance McKinney. But there is an important caveat here: the accuracy of the Argentinian is only 43 percent. Moreover, he misses an average of 5.74 significant beats per minute. Protection against such attacks is at the level of 54 percent. In other words, Ribovich constantly works at high speeds, but at the same time gives his opponents enough opportunities for retaliatory attacks.
Ribovich develops skills in boxing, Thai boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Ribovich had his first professional fight on December 12, 2015 against Lautaro Iturbe. The Argentine ended the match in the third round, using a stranglehold reverse triangle. This was followed by a series of seven consecutive victories, with each of these fights ending ahead of schedule.
In February 2022, the Argentine had a title fight with Franco Aranda at Samurai Fight House and again secured an early victory in the opening five minutes. The next important step was in August of the same year, when Ribovich got the opportunity to perform in Dana White's Contender Series. Thomas Polla held out against him for only 90 seconds. The 30-year-old Argentine has 16 wins — eight by knockouts, five by submission and three by judges' decisions. He has three defeats.

Tip and bets
Both fighters like to be number one, are not afraid to get involved in tough exchanges and have enough power to change the course of the meeting with one precise hit. But at the same time, it is Green's status as an underdog that looks somewhat unexpected. The American is noticeably better at choosing the moments for attacks. His style is not limited to simply stuffing statistics on strikes: Green knows how to wait, force an opponent to open up and then invest in one really hard blow. Ribovich acts differently. The Argentine constantly maintains a high tempo, throws out a huge number of punches and tries to turn the fight into a continuous firefight. The problem is that along with the activity, the number of missed shots is also growing. Green also has an advantage in the fight. If the American manages to alternate between working with his hands and trying to move Ribovich down, it will be more difficult for the Argentine to maintain his usual high pace.
Our betting tip is Green's victory in 3.00
