Daveson Figueredo - Peyton Talbott: betting tip (cf 1.86) and bets on the fight

Command Analysis

Current form
Daveson Figueredo was defeated by Song Yadong in May, losing to his opponent with a painful reception in the second round. Before that, the Brazilian lost on points to Umar Nurmagomedov, and in between these failures he managed to win by decision of Montel Jackson. After moving up to the light heavyweight division, the statistics of the former champion in the light heavyweight category look ambiguous — four wins and four losses. Figueredo is still a very dangerous fighter, especially when it comes to close range and wrestling. But you can't fool time. The Brazilian is no longer the explosive athlete who could once turn a fight around in a matter of minutes and take the championship belt. Now he has to work much harder due to experience, timing and understanding of what is happening in the cage.
At the same time, it would be a big mistake to write Daveson off. He has repeatedly shown that he is capable of creating problems for high-level opponents. In a duel with Yadong, he managed to hit well and even seriously harass the Chinese several times. But the problem is something else: Figueredo is finding it increasingly difficult to turn individual successful episodes into a full-fledged advantage throughout the fight.
In the lightest weight, the difference in physical parameters is especially noticeable. Figueredo had to adapt to bigger rivals, and this is not the case when one championship experience is enough to solve all the problems. At 38, the Brazilian has to compensate for his age and size with much more careful work. And it can be especially difficult against Talbott.
At the same time, Figueredo's career deserves serious respect. He twice won the UFC light heavyweight championship belt and for several years was among the best fighters in the division. The Brazilian practiced capoeira, and from about the age of 16 he seriously switched to mixed martial arts. The basis of his arsenal was Brazilian jiu-jitsu, in which Figueredo has a black belt.

Current form
Peyton Talbott approaches Figueredo after defeating Henry Cejudo. In December, the American won the fight by decision of the judges, and one of the most interesting moments was his desire to actively use the fight against the Olympic champion. Prior to that, Talbott also defeated Felipe Lima by decision. The 28-year-old American's professional record now stands at 11 wins and one loss. The only misfire occurred last year, when Talbott unexpectedly lost to Raoni Barcelos on points. Before that fight, it was Peyton who was considered the clear favorite, but the veteran managed to destroy the bookmakers' calculations and take the victory due to experience and competent tactics.
Talbott has been playing professionally since 2021. Before joining the UFC, he managed to become the A1 Combat bantamweight champion and defend this title twice. In both cases, the American achieved early victories. He got a contract with the largest promotion in the world after participating in Dana White's Contender Series, where he defeated Reyes Cortez Jr. by unanimous decision.
During his school years, he was involved in wrestling and played American football, but he came to mixed martial arts in earnest only later. In the amateurs, Talbott had five fights and did not suffer a single defeat. He became the King of the Cage bantamweight champion twice, and each time he ended his performance with an early victory.

Tip and bets
Talbott is noticeably bigger and younger. His physical advantage should be especially evident in the clinch. It is advantageous for an American not to get involved in mindless hacking and not to try to end the fight ahead of schedule at any cost. If he acts coolly, uses distance, forces Figueredo to miss and periodically engage in wrestling, the Brazilian will have to constantly solve new tasks. If Talbott relies on control and transfers again, it could seriously limit Figueredo's options. It will be difficult for the Brazilian to make the usual explosive attacks if he has to constantly get up after takedowns and spend his strength on defense. The most logical scenario seems to be a long-range battle. Talbot is able to control the pace, pick up episodes due to physics and higher activity, but Figueredo is too experienced and dangerous to count on his quick defeat.
