Rodolfo Bellato returned to the winning track in March, and he did it as convincingly as possible. The Brazilian did not delay the meeting with the promising Luke Fernandez and closed the issue in the first round, sending his opponent to a technical knockout after a series of accurate punches. For the 30-year-old fighter, this success was especially important against the background of a difficult period of his career. Bellato had previously lost by decision to Navajo Sterling in a far from spectacular match. Even earlier, his meeting with Paul Craig ended with the status of a failed fight after an episode with a prohibited punch.

The situation then caused a lot of controversy: Bellato's actions seemed to some observers excessively theatrical. Before that, the Brazilian managed to draw with Jimmy Root. As a result, Bellato's track record in the UFC looks quite unusual: wins, losses, draws and a fight with no result. At the same time, his potential has not disappeared. In the past, the Brazilian won the Legacy Fighting Alliance championship belt, after which he received a contract with the UFC. In total, he has 13 wins, of which eight were achieved by knockouts and four by submission, as well as three defeats.

Current form

Christian Edwards entered the cage for the last time in May 2026, and he got this chance at the very last moment. The American replaced Bellato in the fight against Modestas Bukauskas and managed to surprise with his performance alone. Despite his lack of experience in the UFC, Edwards endured the entire fight and lost only by split decision.

For the 27-year-old American, it was his debut in a major global promotion. He started his professional career in 2019 at Bellator, where he fought eight matches. Edwards later made it to the Cage Fury Fighting Championships title fight, but lost to Luke Fernandez by unanimous decision in May 2025. He has eight wins to his credit — five by knockouts, one by submission and two by decisions — with five defeats.
