Current form

Norma Dumont is approaching this fight after a defeat that ended her impressive streak. In April, the Brazilian lost to Jocelyn Edwards by unanimous decision. Before that, Norma had six wins in a row, but the level of opposition was uneven. In particular, Dumont has won the last three successes over Kathleen Vieira, Irene Aldana and Germaine de Randamie — all three fights ended in refereeing decisions, and the rivals themselves subsequently left the UFC or ended their careers. Previously, the Brazilian also passed Chelsea Chandler, Carol Ross and Danielle Wolf. The picture was similar here.

Before joining the UFC in 2018, Norma performed in the regional Shooto Brazil and Federação Fight promotions. The 35-year-old athlete currently has 13 wins and three losses. Two of her successes came in submission, and she won 11 more times on points.

Dumont's legacy in the UFC women's featherweight division deserves special attention. The Brazilian has set a number of statistical achievements: she has the most wins in the history of the division, as well as a record for the number of wins by unanimous decision. Together with Megan Anderson and Felicia Spencer, she shares the record for the most fights in this weight class — six. In addition, Dumont holds the best record in terms of the total amount of time spent in the octagon, successful takedowns and fights that reached the referee's decision. Her training was based on Thai boxing, Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Wushu sanda. Norma has a brown belt in BJJ and a black belt in wushu sanda. 

Current form

Eileen Perez, on the other hand, enters the octagon on the background of the current winning streak. The Argentine has won her last six fights, and in the previous fight, Macy Chiasson won by unanimous decision. Even more important for the current confrontation is her victory over Jocelyn Edwards, the same athlete who subsequently issued a series of five wins in a row and stopped Dumont.

Perez's track record also includes decisions in fights with Carol Ross, Lucy Pudilova and Ashley Evans-Smith. At the same time, the Argentine is able to finish meetings ahead of schedule. She defeated Daria Zheleznyakova already in the first round, holding a stranglehold with a hand triangle. Perez's only defeat in the UFC came in her debut bout in September 2022, when she lost to Stephanie Egger by rear—choke submission.

Before entering the biggest stage, Perez managed to win the bantamweight title of the Brazilian Samurai Fight House promotion. In August 2021, she stopped Alessandra Tynara with a kick to the head. Later, the championship belt became vacant after a fight with Tamirez Vidal: Perez inflicted a forbidden knee blow on her opponent and lost the title.

In her professional career, Perez has won 13 victories: four by knockout, two by submission and seven by decision. She has two defeats to her credit. She started learning martial arts at the age of 11, practiced kung fu and sanda. At the age of 20, Eileen moved to Buenos Aires and put a serious emphasis on Brazilian jiu-jitsu. In 2018, the Argentine turned professional and has consistently developed her style since then.
