Barbosa's main calling card has always remained unchanged — incredibly dangerous striking techniques and especially footwork. However, age makes itself felt. Now the career of the most experienced veteran is going through a difficult period. Barbosa lost his last three fights. In December 2025, he suffered an early defeat from Jalen Turner, missing the decisive blow in the first round. Before that, the Brazilian lost on points to Drakkar Klose and Leron Murphy.
