Dusko Todorovich managed to break an unpleasant series of three defeats in the last match, confidently strangling Jose Medina in the first round. The victory turned out to be extremely timely, but it is still not worth making far-reaching conclusions about it. Medina is not one of the fighters capable of imposing serious competition at the UFC level, so the real test for the Serb is still ahead.

Prior to that, Todorovich lost to Zach Reese by unanimous decision, lost by technical knockout to Mansour Abdul-Malik after a powerful knee blow, and the meeting with Christian Leroy Duncan ended prematurely for him due to a knee injury. At the same time, the level of his rivals has always been very high — in the Serbian's career there were fights against Chidi Njokuani, Gregory Rodriguez and Punahele Soriano.

The main question remains the same — how reliably Dusko holds the punch. It was the problems with defense that caused his defeats more than once. The 32-year-old fighter has 12 wins, seven of which were achieved by knockout, four by receptions and one by judicial decision, as well as six defeats.

Robert Valentine also approached this fight after a much-needed victory. In April, the Swiss successfully closed a series of setbacks, forcing Julien Leblanc to give up in the opening round. This success was his first after participating in The Ultimate Fighter show and allowed him to regain some confidence. Before that, Valentin had gone through a difficult period. Ateba Gauthier knocked him out in the first round, Torres Finney was stronger on points, and Ryan Loder ended their meeting with a technical knockout in the second round. Despite his good skills on the ground floor, Robert still has noticeable problems in the fight, which his rivals regularly use.

Todorovich is not considered a pronounced wrestler, but his arsenal may well be enough to put the Swiss on the floor and control the course of the meeting. 31-year-old Valentin has ten wins, including three by knockout and six by submission, with five defeats.
