For Alexander Rakic, this fight will be his first since moving up to heavyweight. The Serbian is 34 years old, and the division change looks like a logical step after a difficult stage of his career. In the light heavyweight division, he suffered four defeats in a row, and the last one happened in October 2025, when Azamat Murzakanov finished the fight with a technical knockout in the first round. Prior to that, Rakic lost to Magomed Ankalaev by unanimous decision and Yiri Prohazka by technical knockout in the second round.

In many ways, the decline began after a severe knee injury sustained in a confrontation with Jan Blachowicz in 2022. Since then, the Serb has not been able to return to his previous level. Nevertheless, his track record still commands respect: 14 wins, nine of which were by knockout, four by judicial decision and one by submission. Rakic holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and before joining MMA, he was seriously involved in boxing and kickboxing. It is the percussion technique that remains his main trump card.

Marcin Tybura is much more experienced than his opponent. The Polish veteran is already 40 years old, and he has an impressive career in the strongest leagues in the world. However, the latest results are hardly stable. In March, he lost to Tyrell Fortune by unanimous decision, and before that he was knocked out by Ante Delia in the opening round.

Tybura has scored only two wins and three losses in the last five fights. Despite this, he continues to hold onto the 12th line of the UFC heavyweight division ranking. The Pole is a former M-1 Global champion, holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and feels great in wrestling. He has 27 wins to his credit: ten by knockout, ten by decision of judges and seven by submission.

On paper, this fight looks very intriguing. The main intrigue is how comfortable Rakic will feel among the heavyweights. On the one hand, he's about to make his debut in a new category. Speed, distance work and a variety of punches should be an advantage for the Serb. Tybura is likely to rely on clinching, pressure at the net and attempts to impose a viscous pace in order to deprive the opponent of mobility. At the same time, it's hardly worth waiting for a fast finish.
