Rennes did not disappoint its fans last season and managed to return to European competition. In recent friendly matches, Brugge suffered defeats from Dutch clubs, Feyenoord (1:3) and Heerenveen (2:3). Before that, there was a victory over compatriots from Kortrijk (4:2).
