Magomed Ankalaev - Bogdan Guskov: betting tip (cf 1.39) and bets on the fight

For Magomed Ankalaev, this fight will be the first since October 2025. It was then that the Russian lost in the first round to Alex Pereira, who regained the UFC championship belt with a spectacular knockout. For Ankalaev, this defeat turned out to be especially painful, because he had won the title only a few months earlier, interrupting the Brazilian's long-term dominance. Before meeting Pereira, Magomed went undefeated in 12 UFC fights.

Initially, the 34-year-old Russian was supposed to meet with Khalil Rowntree. However, the American was injured and dropped out of the card. The UFC leadership had to quickly find a replacement, and the choice fell on Bogdan Guskov, who without much hesitation agreed to accept the challenge.

During his professional career, Magomed lost only twice, and another fight ended in a controversial draw. He suffered his first defeat from Paul Craig, conceding with a painful reception just seconds before the final siren. The second setback was inflicted by Alex Pereira. The draw with Jan Blachowicz still causes controversy among fans and experts, many of whom believe that it was the Russian who deserved to win then.

Although Magomed often prefers to work in a standing position and control the course of the fight due to accuracy and composure, his wrestling base remains one of the most serious trump cards. He rarely relies on permanent transfers to the stalls, but if necessary, he is able to completely change the pattern of the match. Given the opponent's problems with defending against takedowns, it is this element that can become decisive.

Ankalaev is currently ranked first in the UFC light heavyweight division. He has 21 wins to his credit, ten of which were scored by knockouts, and eleven more by judges' decisions. He started his professional career in 2014. In the past, Magomed held the WFCA championship belt, and then became the UFC champion and the fifth Russian fighter to win the title of the strongest league in the world. His style is based on Greco-Roman wrestling, freestyle wrestling and combat sambo.

Current form

For Bogdan Guskov, this match was an unexpected gift from fate. Initially, he was preparing for a meeting with Jan Blachowicz, which was to take place in August in Serbia. However, the call from the UFC offering to replace the injured Rowntree turned out to be too tempting to refuse. Now, for the first time, a representative of Uzbekistan will head the tournament of the world's largest promotion. Guskov's last fight ended in a draw with the same Blachovich. Many experts recognized the outcome as logical, although in the second round Bogdan was very close to an early victory, which seriously shocked the former champion.

Before that, he had confidently dealt with Nikita Krylov, ending the meeting with a technical knockout in the first round, and even earlier forced Billy Elekan to capitulate after strangling with a guillotine in the second leg of the fight.  The main weapon of the Uzbek athlete fighter is a heavy blow. If the fight takes place exclusively in a stand-up position, he can create problems for almost any opponent. But there is an aspect that raises questions. Protection against takedowns is only 57 percent. Almost every opponent who tried to transfer Guskov to the stalls was successful. The only exception was Zach Pauga. That is why, against such a versatile opponent as Ankalaev, this disadvantage can play a key role.

Bogdan is ranked ninth in the UFC light heavyweight rankings. He has 18 wins to his credit, of which 15 were won by knockouts and three more by submission. At the same time, there are only three defeats in his professional career. Guskov also holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
