In the future, the game became double-edged, both teams created chances to score goals, but the implementation failed both of them, and both goalkeepers acted confidently. The hosts were catching up, but the guests took the lead again after shots from Alexander Yelesin and Artur Kayumov, who masterfully executed a five-minute penalty from Grigory Panin for a blow to the head against Alexander Radulov. This is the third goal in the majority of Yaroslavl players in the playoffs, the efficiency in this component of the game is 23.1%, which is significantly higher than in the regular season. With careful and rational play, the railwaymen nullified the Ufa team's efforts to even the score and brought the game to victory (3:2).

After the match, Artur Kayumov, the author of the winning goal, shared his view on the outcome: It seems to me that we won due to patience, dedication and teamwork. Yaroslavl is one step away from reaching the semifinals.
