Montreal still managed to bring back the intrigue. Nick Suzuki realized the majority and reduced the gap to a minimum. But in the third period, San Jose played with discipline, not allowing the opponent to create many dangerous chances. And two minutes before the siren, Celebrini scored a double, sending the puck into an empty net after a pass from Graf and Barkley Goodreau. Goalkeeper Alex Nedelkovic finished the match with 25 saves from 27 shots. San Jose is in eighth place in the Western Conference with 70 points.
