Bude/Glimt, regardless of how it finishes its performance in the current Champions League draw, will forever go down in the history of Norwegian club football. Glimt became the first club in Norway to win four consecutive matches and qualify for the playoffs in one round.

It became clear at the league stage that Kjetil Knutsen's team should not be underestimated. Then Bud Glimt gave a powerful ending, scored seven points in the final three rounds and finished in 22nd position. In that segment, the Norwegians took away points from Borussia Dortmund (2:2) on the road, defeated Manchester City (3:1) on their own field, and beat Atletico with a score of 2:1 in a key match in Madrid./Glimt did not stop and Inter went through to the 1/16 finals, and managed to win at home and away with a score of 3:1 and 2:1, respectively.

In the Champions League, initially, Sporting was not among the obvious contenders to finish in the top eight.
