Current form

Rennes faced serious difficulties. The players under the leadership of Habib Biye lost four matches in a row, which led to their departure from the French Cup and the loss of their former self-confidence. In the national championship, the team lost the last three matches with a total score of 1:9. So far, these defeats have not affected the tournament position in any way (sixth place in the championship), but another fiasco in certain situations will lower the club, and maybe even more than one line. Because of these disastrous results, the red-Blacks became the only club from the European Cup six with more goals conceded than scored — 31:34. 

Rennes prefers to play horse football, focusing on flanking passes. Judging by the results of the club, this strategy has recently begun to fail, and Habib Biya has not yet been able to instill a different style of play. Also, several players of the main squad are injured, which, of course, is not a positive thing.

It happened on December 6 last year in the match of the 15th round of the French Ligue 1. Then the reigning champion destroyed the opponent on his own field (5:0). The last match at this stadium took place in March 2025, and then the red and blue won with a big score 4:1. 

Since PSG is only two points ahead of its closest pursuer, you can't lose points in the 22nd round of the French championship, because then, if Lance wins over Paris, you can lose the lead in the standings. There are not many injured players in the team, but we need to properly distribute our forces, because next week we will play in the Champions League playoffs with Monaco.
