The long break had almost no effect on the Omsk Hawks' pace, and they continued to delight fans with success in the new year. The Mammoths of Ugra are also in great shape, with their winning streak reaching four matches in a row. The team has not lost a single match in the new year, however, it still met fierce resistance from opponents a couple of times and almost suffered defeat. The Khanty-Mansians, though with difficulty, still wrested victory from AKM-Novomoskovsk (3:2) and Reactor (4:3) in the main time. Next, the club went to visit Sputnik, where it left no chance for the competitor, defeating him dry (3:0). Thanks to the points scored, the club rose to the third place in the table of the Eastern Conference of the Golden Division.
