Athletic was initially among the contenders to finish in the top 24, but during the tournament it clearly does not meet expectations. In five rounds in the Champions League, the Basques scored only four points, with which they occupy the intermediate 27th place on the eve of the start of the sixth round, two points behind the playoff zone. PSG leads the Champions League in goals scored: 19 goals scored by opponents. It is noticeable that the Parisians can add to the attack at any moment, just remember 7:2 with Bayer. They scored less than two goals only in the game against Bayern.
There are 15 rounds left in Ligue 1, but PSG are not in the first place as usual. After losing to Monaco (0:1), Luis Enrique's team lost the first place to Lance, lagging behind the competitor by one point. In the last round, we saw again how the head coach knows how to work on mistakes: the crushing 5-0 victory over Rennes made it clear that there is no recession.
