David Onama scored the most spectacular victory in April, beating Giga Chikadze by unanimous decision. This is the fourth Victoria in a row, with a 14-2 record. Both defeats in the UFC: the debut from Mason Jones and a controversial decision against Nate Landweer in 2022, in the Fight of the evening. Onama impresses with his character, but he misses a lot, and this can break him under pressure from Garcia. In the fight with Chikaze, he showed wrestling, three takedowns in rounds and control in the second and third parts. Thanks to the stalls, he limited Chikaze to 43 significant strikes in 15 minutes (2.86 per minute against an average of 3.82). So there is a plan to minimize the threat from Garcia.
