Azat Maksum is a true warrior with a Kazakh soul. Even in his last defeat against Tagir Ulanbekov, he showed that he is not so easy to break. Tagir, of course, is a master, but Azat forced him to give his all, demonstrating excellent wrestling and grappling. Before that, Maxum lost to Charles Johnson, but that fight was so spectacular that he received a bonus for the Fight of the evening. Azat's only UFC victory was over Tyson Nam by split decision, but let's not be fooled by the record: Maksum is a tough nut to crack who fights better than he looks on paper. The 27-year-old American has six wins (one by knockout, five by decision) and three defeats. Raposo tries to compensate for a modest blow by actively fighting, but this may not work against Maksum.
