Forwards Tierno Barry and Jack Grealish, midfielders Carlos Alcaraz and Kiernan Dewsbury Hall, and defender Adam Aznou joined the squad. In general, we can say that a kind of rotation was simply carried out in individual positions.
The Toffees were not impressive in friendly matches: not a single victory in the six matches played (four defeats and two draws). It is alarming that it was not possible to cope even with the far from the top Accringoton (1:1) and Blackburn (0:1). In the last test match, Everton lost to Roma with a minimum score of 0:1.
