Current form

After returning to the tour, Sinner lost only three sets. In the semifinals of the Masters in Rome, the representative of Italy gave the game to Tommy Paul. In addition, in the final confrontation  Yannick lost 6-7, 1-6 to Carlos Alcaraz. The result of that meeting will put pressure on Sinner, because it happened very recently.

Alcaraz began his title defense with a landslide victory over Giulio Zeppieri, but then the Spaniard started having some problems. It took him four games to defeat Fabian Marojan and Damir Jumhour. Something similar happened in the confrontation with Ben Shelton.

In the semifinal match, Alcaraz also lost the first set to Lorenzo Musetti. However, after that, the Spaniard turned on extra momentum. Carlos forced his opponent to give up the fight in the fourth set.
