“Edmonton” – “Utah”: forecast for the NHL match

Edmonton has been feeling pretty good lately and has been performing significantly better than at the start of the season. Overall, the team is currently in fifth place in the Western Conference, so overall, it should be happy with everything. True, if before Christmas it showed great results and often pleased fans with long winning streaks, then after returning from the break, the Oilers have not yet been able to find the game that brought them results.
If before the break the Oilers managed to deal with San Jose (3:2 OT) and Ottawa (3:1) on their home ice, then after it they could not cope with Los Angeles (3:4 OT) on the road, and literally gave two points to Anaheim - 3:4. So, in the last confrontation they had an extremely comfortable advantage of two goals, but, strangely enough, they were unable to bring the matter to a victorious end and allowed the opponent to succeed at the very end of the third period.
Of course, defense is clearly not Edmonton strong point, and it causes them a lot of trouble. But in most cases, Chris Knobloch squad manages to compensate for this with excellent offensive play. By the way, despite the unsuccessful previous match, Leon Draisaitl scored another double and secured his place on the first line of the team top scorers, currently having 55 points in the goal + pass system.

As a rule, matches this season have been in their favor only when they have missed no more than two goals.
It is also worth mentioning that Utah performs better on the road than at home, and has already won 11 of its 20 games.
