In November 2018, the American got the opportunity to win the vacant Fury FC belt, but lost to his compatriot Miles Jones (split decision). He started in the UFC with five wins in a row. But in April 2023, he lost to his compatriot Rob Font (technical knockout, first round), and then to another American Jonathan Martinez (technical knockout, second round).

In his last fight in May 2024, he regained his confidence by defeating little-known Brazilian Vinicius Salvador (TKO, first round). The 31-year-old Yanez has 17 wins (11 by knockout, four by decision, two by submission) and five losses. Adrian has a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

In his last fight at Soncora in June 2024, he defeated American John Castaneda (unanimous). Before that, in a fight with Chinese Qileng Aori, the winner was not determined.
