Calgary moved up to fifth place in the West after a home win over the Islanders (2:1, SO). The Flames were patient, waited for their moments and finished off the Islanders, scoring two goals in the shootout. Now the club from the province of Alberta has 23 points after 19 games. Rasmus Andersson remains the Flames' offensive leader. He is only 129th in the league top scorers list and has earned a modest 12 points (5+7) in a month and a half of the regular season. Jonathan Huberdeau is just picking up the pace and has so far contributed to only ten goals (6+4) for his team.
