Marseille vs PSG. Prediction and Betting Tips for Ligue 1

Marseille managed to return to the title race. Club dropped many points before the World Cup 2022 and even dropped out of Top-4 for some time. But Igor Tudor's men eventually regained momentum. When Lens and Lorient started to lose, Marseille climbed up to the 2nd position and now team is just five points away from PSG. 

However, Marseille are still far from flawless - team recently had a draw against Monaco (1:1) and a defeat to Nice (1:3). Marseille also have a modest scoring record - just 48 goals in 24 matches. Other Top-3 clubs scored much more. 

Marseille don't have to waste their energy on European competitions, which is surely an advantage over their competitors. But the White-Blues are still in the race for Coupe de France, where they recently beat PSG (2:1). Mbemba has reached the yellow cards limit, so he will miss the next match. Gigot and Ruiz are currently on injuried list. 

PSG are going through a tough period. Problems started after the World Cup 2022 - frequent setbacks, defeats, conflicts between the players and club's management, uncertain future of Lionel Messi. However, Parisians are still at the top of Ligue 1. Team is five points clear of 2nd-placed Marseille. Paris team won the majority of recent matches, but dropped points in games against Monaco (1:3) and Reims (1:1). 

PSG are not so successful in other competitions though. A few weeks ago, team got eliminated from Coupe de France, losing to Marseille (1:2). Christoph Galtier's men also suffered a narrow home defeat to Bayern (0:1) in the first leg of Champions League Round of 16. However, Parisians have more than a week left until the second match, so now they can concentrate on Ligue 1. 

Capital club also has some selection problems. Marquinhos and Neymar will probably miss the Marseille game through injury, they also have an ongoing conflict with club's board.
