Swiatek vs Niemeier: prediction for the Australian Open match

In the previous season Iga Swiatek won two Grand Slam tournaments, in Paris and in New York, establishing herself as the World No. 1. But Polish player got eliminated from the semi-final in Australian Open last year. 

Prior to the Australian tournament, Swiatek represented Poland at the United Cup. She won three matches, but suffered a heavy defeat to Jessica Pegula (2:6, 2:6). 

Jule Niemeier is making a significant progress on tour. She already reached the 68th position in the standings. German player has won the Makarska tournament in the previous season. 

Niemeier started the season with three defeats in a row. She suffered defeats to Bouzkova and Keys. At the start of Adelaide qualification she suffered a defeat to Karolina Pliskova (4:6, 3:6). One year ago, Niemeier suffered a defeat to Hartono in the qualification of Australian Open.
