Netherlands vs Argentina: prediction for the 2022 FIFA World Cup match

Netherlands national team ended up in the group with Ecuador, Qatar and Senegal and were considered the main favourite for a top place finish. In the first match Louis van Gaal's team met some resistance from Senegal, but earned a 2:0 victory. A 1:1 draw against Ecuador guaranteed a play-off spot for the Oranges, but they still secured a 2:0 victory over Qatar. 

In the round of 16 Netherlands faced USA. Despite all of their problems, the Oranges managed to score twice in the first half. In the second half opponents exchanged goals and the Netherlands cruised to a comfortable victory. 

Argentina national team also was considered the main favourite of their group, but unlike their opponent, failed to get a positive result in the first match. Lionel Scaloni's team suffered a 1:2 defeat to Saudi Arabia and things got pretty tough for them in the group. Lionel Messi led Argentina to a 2:0 victory over Mexico. In the final match team secured a 2:0 victory over Poland. 

In the round of 16 Argentina faced Australia and were considered clear favourites. Albiceleste scored in the first half and extended the lead at the start of a second one. Australia managed to get one goal back, but had no time to score an equalizer.
