Morocco vs Portugal: prediction for the 2022 FIFA World Cup match

There were many goals scored in the Round of 16 of this World Cup, Morocco didn't concede any. The Atlas Lions reached the quarterfinals for the first time in history. They became the fourth African country to make it to the last eight, and Walid Regragui is the first African manager, who took his team to the quarterfinals. 

At the group stage, Morocco defeated Belgium and Canada, and in the round of 16 they celebrated success over Spain in a penalty-kick shootout (0(3):0(0)). Nayef Aguerd got injured in the clash against Spain and will miss the quarterfinal match. 

Portugal were fantastic in their last-16 game against Switzerland - they got a high-scoring 6:1 victory, and that was the second time in history that the team scored six goals in one game. Fernando Santos decided to bench Cristiano Ronaldo and start Goncalo Ramos, and that decision fully paid off - the 21-year-old delivered a hat-trick. This was Ramos' debut game at such level. 

Portugal has looked really good at the current tournament, and the country believes in Fernando Santos, who won Euro 2016 with the national team. Pereira and Mendes are sidelined through injuries.
