New Jersey can't overtake Boston and climb to the top line in the Eastern Conference standings, but the team is demonstrating excellent performance. The Devils won the last three games - after beating Buffalo (3:1) and the Rangers (5:3) away, they crushed Washington (5:1) at home. Lindy Ruff's men rarely concede more than two goals per game.
Nashville are outside the playoffs zone and show very inconsistent play. The Predators often experience problems even in games against outisders. For instance, they barely managed against Arizona (4:3 SO), and after a defeat to Detroit (0:3) they needed overtime to overcome Anaheim (2:1 OT). On average, the Preds concede four goals in away games, and they got only two regulation-time wins on road trips.
