South Korea haven't missed any of the last 10 World Cups. Paulo Bento's team was the favourite to win the qualifying group, however, they lost the last game to the UAE (0:1) and finished in 2nd place, two points behind Iran. Second place guaranteed the Korean team a direct ticket to Qatar.

With such opponents as Portugal, Uruguay, and Ghana, South Korea were considered the outsiders. But in the first game, they managed to hold Uruguay to a draw (0:0). With one point, they currently share second place with the South Americans. 

Ghanamissed the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but they were more lucky in the qualifying for the tournament in Qatar. Otto Addo's men got two draws against Nigeria in the playoffs and won the ticket to Qatar thanks to an away goal. 

Ghana currently sit bottom of Group H, but they scored more goals than Uruguay or South Korea, which can help them qualify if they end up level on points with either of those teams. The Black Stars had a very good game against Portugal and could have won, but were a bit unlucky (2:3).
